Each board is made from reclaimed wood found throughout the West and Northwest, and uses a food friendly epoxy. Cleaning is easy-just wash with soap and water and hand dry.
We will work with you to create a fully custom serving board to your tastes.

Natural River Pours
Food friendly epoxy in any imaginable color seems to flow between the natural edge of the wood. Natural river pours come in two sizes: the serving board (1 x 12 x 21), and the snack board (1 x 8 x 21). If you don’t see the color or wood you like, just contact us and we will make exactly what you are looking for.

Our Story
As we left our friend’s cocktail party in October of 2019, I thought “I want a bar in my house.” The thought of building one wasn’t too daunting as I had been a furniture designer and cabinet maker for a bunch of years after college and had always worked well with the nine and ½ fingers that remained.
I didn’t want to build just any bar. I wanted to build an epoxy bar. Those looked cool. I spent some time looking for the right slab and found it on a wood auction site a few weeks later. A 12 foot long, 13 inch wide, two inch thick chunk of walnut that cost a boatload of money. Add in the amount of epoxy I thought I’d need, some 30 liters, and the potential to ruin close to $3k worth of materials was looking like a sure bet.
So I started small. I figured I would make a bunch of serving boards to perfect the process before the bar build, and one thing led to another, and pretty soon I had a new company called the blue-fig. Some 100 serving boards and 12 months later the blue-fig bar was complete and the company was born.
So welcome to the blue-fig! We specialize in natural river pours in any color you want or, using our CNC machine, we can custom make any location that is special to you-beach house, stretch of river, lake, you name it, we can make it. We can even add your home’s exact location.
